better than the real thing

I don't watch American Idol, but I was shown this the other day and I was blown away. Who know "Heartless" sung acoustically was better than the real deal from Kanye West? Take a listen, I'm sorry I don't have the actual live video, but if you want to see it go to www.AmericanIdol.com and watch it there. Here is Kris Allen with his version of "Heartless"

what happens when plan B fails?

So Katz and I made plans to see "bedtime stories" at Fort Wilderness last night. This entailed watching a movie they were showing outside by a campfire. Sounds fun right? Well of coarse it was raining and outside was not the best of ideas at the time. So we went to Plan B...

We drove to Jinx's house where he was chillen with Stern. When we got there, the four of us left to go bowling. Plan B was sounding great. It wasn't until we were already on our way when we realized that 3/4s of us were not wearing socks. We weren't going to go rotating one pair of socks, that's just gross.

We then decided that we were hungry and would decide what we were doing after we ate. So about an hour went by while we were eating at Friday's and we still had no plan. We started driving around thinking of something to do, then Katz came up with this idea to go to Old Town..... which everyone but him has not been there.

Old Town is this sort of permanent carnival with a bunch of random stores and weird people. When we get there, its pretty much deserted due to the rain. After walking around for 20 min and watching this fake guy get electrocuted, we see a ride that just shoots you up in the air only holding you on by 2 cords. Katz and I were the only brave ones to try it. We get on, the ground is wet, Katz is nervous, but I remain cool as a cucumber. I don't know why but the sense of being nervous never came across me, it was weird. This ride was such a release and to me very relaxing. We survived! Oh did I mention there is a camera on you filming you so people down on the ground to watch and hear you very clearly. The guy after us did not look good. He looked like he was about to blow chunks any minute..

So what do you do when all else fails? go to old town? sure why not

best sandwich EVER!!

ON A LIGHTER NOTE =)

So Tin Tin, Bry, Erin and myself went to this restaurant downtown called Pom Pom's Teahouse & Sandwicheria. It was very artsy and laid back, just the way I love it. They brew their own flavors of tea and have recipes for sandwiches that just blew my mind away.

I had the raspberry chocolate tea (so good) and for my meal I had the Danny (G) sandwich. Let me tell you, my taste buds where just flabbergasted .... they have never been happier in my entire lifetime! This sandwich had ginger cranberry chutney, almonds, brie, red onions and apples....... no lie, it was the best sandwich I have ever tasted.

So thank you Danny (G), thank you Pom Pom's and THANK YOU TIN TIN!!!

keep it real.

third wheel

I am SO SORRY ...number one for not posting in FOREVER.. and number two for having all these ranting depressing blogs that I have been posting. Im actually a really happy person, just have gone through alot and would like to get some things off my chest.

So I really hope this doesn't sound selfish on my part. It is not my intention what-so-ever and I would say that I am a very unselfish person (who lets people walk all over her... lets be real) with only good intentions. Everyone I know has that one person (or two) who they put first before anyone else. I see it all happen right infront of my eyes. Everyone has that special someone whether it be a significant other or a best friend that they always go to, relate to, have deep conversations of their darkest secrets with, laugh with, ext. (you get the picture).... everyone.... oh, except me.

I feel so out of place many times (like a third wheel) because I am not as special as the other person sitting right next to me. It hurts... alot. I just want someone to hold, to cry to, to laugh with, to talk about everything and anything, to feel like I belong, to trust, to love, and to be connected on a completely different level than anyone else around. I guess I just have to believe that one day that person, whether it be a friend or a significant other, will come into my life and I too will feel what everyone else feels.

class?

So I was listening on my Ipod .... oh WAIT! Yes I FINALLY have an IPOD! (thanx Bry) =D. ANYWAYS..... and the song "Class" from the movie soundtrack of Chicago came on. Not only did this reinstate my desire to play the role of Velma Kelly on Broadway, but it just made me laugh thinking where the F&*^& has class gone? Right out the window! This song just reminds me of where I work in general (oh and Rhode Island =P). Between the people who work for the same company, the people who I have to share a breakroom with and the guests who come visit... there is seriously a lack of class in this world I live in.

here are the lyrics for those people who have never heard of this song before or who are too lazy to look up the lyrics for themselves....

"Whatever happened to fair dealing And pure ethics And nice manners? Why is it everyone now is a pain in the Ass? Whatever happened to class? Whatever happened to Please may I And Yes thank you And How charming? Now every son of a bitch Is a snake in the grass Whatever happened to class? Oh, there ain't no gentelmen to open up the doors, There ain't no ladies now there's only pigs and whores And even kids'll knock you down so's they can pass Nobody's got no class!!!Whatever happened to old values And fine morals And good breeding? Now no-one even says oops When they're passing their gas Whatever happened to class? Oh, There ain't no gentelmen that's fit for any use, And any girl will touch your privates for a deuce And even kids'll kick your shins and give ya sass Nobody's got no class! All you read about today is rape and theft Jesus Christ, ain't there no decency left? Nobody's got no class! Every guy is a snot Every girl is a twat Holy shit What a shame What became of class? " - Velma and Mama, Chicago (movie soundtrack)
